How We Help
Health Net has coordinated transportation for emergent patient visits, same-day/next-day rides, and food transportation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, after reviewing our agency’s strategic priorities, we have determined that it is no longer sustainable for Health Net to fill the systemic transportation gap in Kent County.
Starting February 3, 2025. Health Net will reduce transportation services hours to 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm Monday – Thursday. Transportation will be available through June 30th, when Health Net will fully discontinue offering transportation services.
Our client services team will continue to help educate and support clients in coordinating health plan-provided transportation, help find long-term solutions to transportation barriers, and connect clients to transportation resources.
Transportation Services through Medicaid Health Plans
Each health plan has a different time frame to set up transportation services. Below are the contact numbers and guidelines for seeking transportation to medical appointments. Details are subject to change, so please contact the transportation line or your health plan directly for details.
Call at least 4 business days (counting the current day and day of appointment) in advance to arrange transportation with a health plan.
