The Transition of the Coalition 

Health Net of West Michigan has been proud to house the Kent County Oral Health Coalition for 10 years. During that time, the Coalition has grown significantly in terms of membership, advocacy work, and community reach, and has become a known resource throughout the community. Change is a normal and natural part of the life cycle of all organizations, as Health Net formulated our strategic priorities for the next decade, we concluded that we are unable to continue to house and staff the Coalition. The KCOHC will officially transition from Health Net of West Michigan on June 30, 2024, and plans to continue as a volunteer-led group.

Healthy Kids Dental Promotion

The Healthy Kids Dental social media kit was designed to help community organizations and busy health professionals improve oral health access by educating about, and advocating for Healthy Kids Dental. Each social media post includes an image and suggested message.

KCOHC Research

With the partnership of the Kent County Health Department and financial support from the DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement, formerly the DentaQuest Foundation, the coalition conducted an examination of the current state of oral health in Kent County, Michigan.
